Life In Japan….Part One

Hello Music Friends!
First I’d like to say thanks for the patience you’ve endured during the assembly of these blogs. I know you understand the time, content, and thought process. As an active Artist it limits my time like there’s no tomorrow. But aside all of that, I like the personal aspect of reaching the music community.

This Life in Japan started with a magazine shot of the band members of Between The Two in Los Angeles, followed by an 18 hour flight from Los Angeles to Narita Japan, with stops in Anchorage and Seoul. Bussed from Narita to Metro Tokyo was the beginning of pure adventure in touring with an 8-piece band. We were immediately introduced to a society that ran like clock work. With our sponsors and interpreter in toe, we got settled into our hotel for 1 day before heading north to Sendai City. I’m not in the photo’s because I had the camera.

A couple of photo’s are members of the band & fans that attended one of our two performances. I do wonder what happened to those effected by the devastation.

A local coffee shop owner and his wife invitated the band to go to their shop after a performance. They were so very nice, it was 2 or 3 in the morning and about 19 degrees outside. It was daybreak before we made it back to the hotel. What great people they were, number one reason I chose go back several times to live, perform, & learn more about the culture.

After the 2 performances in Sendai we were off to 2 other locations on route back south lost in time, then back to Tokyo for 2 shows as well….The Golden Gezeki and The Tabaki House.

After a brief days rest, we left Tokyo headed south.

Stay tuned for part 2.
